A recent case study of the steak restaurant Porterhouse showcased the benefits of our waste handling solutions. Porter House Central generated around 6 240 litre bins of glass bottle waste, 3240 litre bins of geenral waste, and 1240 litre bins of cardboard and plastic waste. To compact this, two PEL JAWS Glass Bottle Crushers were installed. This saw a significant reduction in the number of glass bins produced from 36 to 12 per week. The PEL 240 litre Bin Compactor reduced the 18 weekly waste collections to six collections per week, while the PEL700 Baler eliminated all recycling bins previously located onsite.

While the introduction of our sustainable solutions saw a dramatic decrease in waste, it increased storage space in the back of house area which improved productivity as staff spent more time focused on customer service and less time on waste disposal tasks.
